THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MINNEAPOLIS HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  715 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN
          ...BARRON...WESTERN RUSK
 
SOME CITIES INCLUDED IN THE WARNING ARE...CUMBERLAND...BARRON...RICE
LAKE.
 
AT 625 PM...BARRON COUNTY OFFICIALS REPORTED NUMEROUS TORNADO
TOUCHDOWNS. ONE TORNADO WAS IN THE CITY OF RICE LAKE INFLICTING MAJOR
DAMAGE. ANOTHER WAS REPORTED BETWEEN CUMBERLAND AND ALMENA.
SEVERAL OTHER TORNADOES HAVE BEEN REPORTED IN BARRON COUNTY.
 
THE TORNADOES WERE MOVING EAST AT 15 TO 20 MILES AN HOUR...AND SOME
OF THESE MAY MOVE IN WESTERN PORTIONS OF RUSK COUNTY. EVERYONE IN THE
WARNED AREA SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.
 
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES
FOR A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
