THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ST CLOUD HAS ISSUED A
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  830 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...

IN WEST CENTRAL MINNESOTA
          ...POPE

INCLUDING THE CITIES OF STARBUCK AND GLENWOOD.

AT 740PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS APPROACHING WESTERN POPE
COUNTY. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ALEXANDRIA
MINNESOTA AND WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS
WERE DEVELOPING IN THE SAME AREA. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL CROSS LAKE
MINNEWASKA BY JUST AFTER 8PM.


THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...LARGE HAIL...AND
DEADLY LIGHTNING. BOATERS SHOULD MOVE OFF LAKES TO NEARBY
SHELTER. PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE IN!SIDE STRONG BUILDINGS BUT
STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
