THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 715 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTY
IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF MINNESOTA
WINONA
THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE TOWNS OF ALTURA...MINNESOTA CITY...UTICA..
AND WINONA.
AT 605 AM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED EAST OF ROCHESTER
NEAR ALTURA. THE STORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH TOWARD MINNESOTA
CITY...UTICA...AND WINONA.
THIS STORM HAS PRODUCED DAMAGING WIND GUSTS OF 50 TO 60 MPH AS
IT MOVED THROUGH THE EAST PART OF OLMSTED COUNTY TOWARD WINONA
COUNTY. MANY TREES LIMBS AND POWER LINES WERE REPORTED BLOWN
DOWN.
