THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN JACKSON HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  300 AM CST
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI
          ...FORREST
 
AT 100AM RAIN AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE CAUSING SOME FLOODING IN
AND AROUND THE HATTIESBURG AREA WITH NEARLY 3 INCHES REPORTED
IN THE PAST 3 HOURS.  SEVERAL STREETS WERE NOW UNDER WATER AND
SOME HOMES HAVE ALSO BEEN FLOODED.  RADAR INDICATED THAT THE
MAIN LINE OF STORMS HAS PASSED EAST OF HATTIESBURG AND RAIN SHOULD
BE TAPERING OFF BY 2AM. HOWEVER...RUNOFF WILL CONTINUE TO BE PROBLEM
FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.
 
 
AT NIGHT BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE SWIFTLY TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.
