000 TTAA00 KMEM 150501 SVRMEM MSC143-150530- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MEMPHIS TN 1059 PM CST WED MAR 14 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MEMPHIS HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTHWEST MISSISSIPPI ...TUNICA COUNTY A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS DETECTED BY WEATHER RADAR AT 1055 PM CROSSING THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER AND MOVING INTO TUNICA COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHEAST AT 55 MPH. A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. REMAIN CALM BUT BE ALERT TO RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
