SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  645 PM PDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATION...S...
 
IN SOUTH CALIFORNIA
 
   ...CENTRAL RIVERSIDE COUNTY...SOUTH CENTRAL SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY
 
AT 445 PM RADAR AND SATELLITE INDCATED A VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
SOUTHWEST OF TWENTYNINE PALMS MOVING SOUTHWEST AT 20 MPH. THE STORM
WILL MOVE INTO THE PALM SPRINGS AREA WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR.
 
THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM.  IF YOU ARE IN ITS PATH YOU SHOULD
PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING.
PEOPLE OUTSIDE SHOULD MOVE TO A SHELTER...PREFERABLY INSIDE A STRONG
BUILDING BUT STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS.
 
IN ADDITION...HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED WITH THIS STORM RESULTING IN
FTLASH FLOODING OF NORMALLY DRY WASHES. HEAVY RAINS FLOOD ROADS QUICKLY
SO DON'T DRIVE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD.
