THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 945 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE EAST CENTRAL PART OF KENTUCKY
      NORTHERN ANDERSON...SOUTHERN FRANKLIN...NORTHERN WOODFORD

AT 850 PM EDT...THERE WAS A TORNADO ON THE GROUND IN SOUTHERN
FRANKLIN COUNTY MOVING SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST INTO NORTHERN ANDERSON
AND NORTHERN WOODFORD. THIS STORM WAS PART OF A LARGE STORM SYSTEM
THAT HAD NUMEROUS TORNADOS IN THE CLOUDS. THIS SYSTEM WAS MOVING
SOUTH AND SOUTHEAST AND THE CITY OF FRANKFORT WAS UNAFFECTED BY
THIS. A TORNADO WAS ALSO REPORTED ON THE GROUND IN NORTHERN
ANDERSON COUNTY IN THE AREA OF ALTON.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES...
TAKE COVER IN A REINFORCED BUILDING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.

IF YOU LIVE IN A HOME OR APARTMENT..h.FIND SHELTER IN THE INNERMOST
PORTION OF THE BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  GET TO A BASEMENT IF
ONE IS AVAILABLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  PROTECT YOURSELF FROM FLYING
DEBRIS WITH CUSHIONS...BLANKETS...OR PILLOWS.
