THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030 PM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES

   IN THE EXTREME SOUTH PART OF INDIANA
      CLARK...CRAWFORD...FLOYD...HARRISON...JEFFERSON...
      ORANGE...SCOTT...WASHINGTON

AT 625 PM EST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW
HEAVY RAIN WIDESPREAD OVER SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA.  TWO AND A HALF
INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN IN LOUISVILLE SINCE 1000 AM THIS MORNING
...WITH SOME REPORTS IN EXCESS OF 3 INCHES JUST NORTH OF LOUISVILLE
IN SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA.  NUMEROUS ROADS IN SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA
ARE CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING HIGHWAYS.  PERIODS OF HEAVY RAIN WILL
PERSIST THROUGH 1000 PM EST...WITH FLASH FLOODING CONTINUING.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOOD WATERS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS OBSERVED...
ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
