FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  115 AM CST
FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR
NORTHER NEWTON COUNTY TEXAS AND HAS EXTENDED THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING
ISSUED EARLIER FOR NORTHERN JASPER COUNTY UNTIL 130AM CST.
 
A SERIES OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAINS WAS LOCATED FROM
NORTH OF WOODVILLE ACROSS JASPER TO NEAR NEWTON TEXXAS.  THE
THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 18 MPH.
 
WIDESPREAD STREET FLOODING WAS REPORTED EARLIER IN THE CITY OF JASPER
TEXAS.
 
ALL INDICATIONS ARE THAT THE HEAVY RAIN WILL BE SLOW TO MOVE OUT OF
THE AREA AND CONDITIONS WILL ONLY GET WORST.
 
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY.  MOVE UP TO ESCAPE FLOOD WATERS.  DO
NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING WHEN WATER BEGINS RISING.
