THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 930 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF NEBRASKA
      PLATTE

AT 850 PM CDT NORFOLK RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO ABOUT 20 MILES
NORTHWEST OF COLUMBUS OR ABOUT 3 MILES NORTHWEST OF MONROE MOVING
TO THE EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

HAIL 2 INCHES IN DIAMETER WAS REPORTED NEAR LINDSAY IN THE
NORTHWEST PART OF PLATTE COUNTY OR ABOUT 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
NORFOLK.

TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY...GET TO A BASEMENT IF POSSIBLE.  OTHERWISE
GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  ABANDON CARS AND
MOBILE HOMES...TAKE SHELTER IN A REINFORCED BUILDING.

  ASEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR COLFAX COUNTY
 OF NORTHEAST NEBRASKA UNTIL 930 PM CDT THIS MONDAY EVENING AND
 A FLASH FLOOD WATCH WAS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF NORTHEAST NEBRASKA
 FOR TONIGHT.
