THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF NEBRASKA
      BOYD

AT MIDNIGHT CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ALONG THE
NEBRASKA...SOUTH DAKOTA BORDER 40 MILES NORTH OF O NEILL. THIS
STORM WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH AND WILL PASS THROUGH
THE COMMUNITIES OF BUTTE...SPENCER...AND LYNCH.

SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY
LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING
AREA.  SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN ALSO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING.

PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A STRONG
BUILDING.  FOR YOUR PROTECTION MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE
LOWEST FLOOR OF YOU*R HOME OR BUSINESS.  HEAVY RAINS QUICKLY FLOOD
ROADWAYS...DO NOT DRIVE INTO WATER COVERED ROADWAYS.

 A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR ALL OF NORTHEAST
 NEBRASKA UNTIL 4 AM CDT.
