THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 830 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE NORTHEAST PART OF NEBRASKA
      NORTHERN CEDAR

AT 5:15 THIS MORNING NORFOLK RADAR INDICATED STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN JUST SOUTH OF YANKTON IN EXTREME NORTHERN
CEDAR COUNTY.  THESE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT
ABOUT 25 MPH...AND WILL CONTINUE TO BRING HEAVY RAIN TO NORTHERN
CEDAR COUNTY DURING THE NEXT HOUR OR TWO.  PEOPLE IN NORTHERN CEDAR
COUNTY TO THE NORTH OF HARTINGTON...INCLUDING THE TOWNS OF WYNOT
AND FORDYCE...SHOULD BE ALERT TO FLASHFLOODING EARLY THIS MORNING.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS IMMINENT.  IT IS IMPORTANT TO
KNOW WHERE YOU ARE IN RELATION TO STREAMS...RIVERS...OR CREEKS THAT
CAN BECOME DEADLY WHEN SWOLLEN BY HEAVY RAIN.  CAMPERS SHOULD AVOID
CAMPING ALONG STREAMS OR CREEKS WHEN HEAVY RAIN THREATENS.

 A FLASHFLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR EXTREME WNORTHERN KNOX
 COUNTY FROM SANTEE EAST ACROSS THE RECREATION AREA SOUTH OF LEWIS
 AND CLARK LAKE.
