SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 745 PM EDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
IN EAST NORTH CAROLINA
...BEAUFORT...CRAVEN...JONES
AT 635 PM A CLUSTER OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WAS JUST SOUTHWEST OF
VANCEBORO IN CRAVEN COUNTY AND EXTENDED INTO NORTHERN JONES COUNTY IN
EASTERN NORTH CAROLINA. THE CLUSTER OF STORMS WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT
35 MPH.
PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD BE ALERT FOR LARGE HAIL AND
DAMAGING WINDS. FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN CAN OCCUR
WITH ANY THUNDERSTORM.
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WINDS CAN REACH SPEEDS OF 60 MPH TO OVER 100
