THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 AM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA
      CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN GREENVILLE

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN
REPORTED. TAKE THE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS TO PROTECT LIFE AND
PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAINFALL HAVE MOVED ACROSS CENTRAL
AND SOUTHERN GREENVILLE COUNTY. THE REEDY RIVER IN GREENVILLE IS
AT 8.4 FEET...FLOOD STAGE IS 8 FEET. PEOPLE ALONG THE REEDY RIVER
SHOULD TAKE MEASURES TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY. THE REEDY RIVER
SHOULD CREST AT ABOUT 9 TO 10 FEET AROUND 6 AM EST THIS MORNING.

LOWLAND AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING SHOULD BE EVACUATED. PEOPLE
IN AREAS THAT ARE PRONE TO FLOODING SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY
RISING WATER .. AND GO TO HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY.

 A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE MOUNTAINS AND
 FOOTHILLS OF SOUTH CAROLINA TODAY.
