THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES

   IN THE CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
      EXTREME NORTHERN ELLIS...

   IN THE NORTH CENTRAL PART OF KANSAS
      ROOKS...

AT 655 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM THAT
COULD PRODUCE A TORNADO ABOUT 12 MILES NORTH OF HAYS
KANSAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.
THIS STORM WILL BE MOVING INTO ROOKS COUNTY AND WEST
OF PLAINVILLE KANSAS BY 720 PM CDT THIS EVENING.

THIS STORM HAS HAD A HISTORY OF FUNNEL CLOUDS AND TORNADOS
ALONG WITH LARGE HAIL.   TAKE COVER.

FIND SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. BASEMENTS OFFER BEST PROTECTION. SMALL
ROOMS NEAR THE CENTER OF HOMES AND BUILDING ARE ALSO FAIRLY SAFE.
MOBILE HOMES AND VEHICLES OFFER NO SHELTER..SO LYEAVE THEN. EVEN A
DITCH OR LOW PLACE IS SAFER THEN A MOBILE HOME OR CAR.
