FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1215 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY...
 
IN EAST CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA

SOME CITIES INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING ARE...BROOKINGS...VOLGA AND
AURORA.
 
AT 805 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A LARGE AREA OF HEAVY RAINS OVER
BROOKINGS COUNTY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF 2 TO 6 INCHES HAVE BEEN REPORTED
IN BROOKINGS COUNTY.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLASH FLOODING IS OCCURING OR IS
IMMINENT. ACT QUICKLY TO SAVE YOURSELF. GET OUT OF LOWLAND AREAS
SUBJECT TO FLOODING. AVOID ALREADY FLOODED AREAS. CAMPERS ALONG
STREAMS AND SMALL RIVERS SHOULD MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
