000 TTAA00 KAHN 081830 SVRAHN GAC133-081930- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ATHENS GA 229 PM EDT WED AUG 8 1990 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN ATHENS HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 330 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS... IN NORTHEAST GEORGIA ...GREENE COUNTY AT 227 PM EDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED OVER THE SOUTHERN END OF LAKE OCONEE IN GREENE COUNTY. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 10 MILES AN HOUR. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 55 MPH...DESTRUCTIVE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
