THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 PM FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY IN

SOUTHCENTRAL TEXAS...VAL VERDE.

THE PECOS RIVER HAS RISEN 25 TO 30 FEET ABOUT THREE MILES NORTH OF THE
PECOS HIGH BRIDGE AND WAS MOVING RAPIDLY DOWN TOWARDS THE RIO GRANDE
RIVER AND LAKE AMISTAD.

FISHERMEN AND CAMPERS ALONG THE PECOS AND RIO GRANDE RIVERS SHOULD
MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND NOW.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CRBOSS BRIDGES..DIPS..OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM..EVEN A SMALL ONE..ON
FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
