SMALL STREAM AND URBAN FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  130 AM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...
 
IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS
          ...MEADE...SEWARD
 
AT 1120PM CDT LIBERAL WAS STILL RECEIVING HEAVY RAINS FROM A
THUNDERSTORM THAT WAS OVER OR JUST TO THE NORTHEAST OF THE CITY. THESE
HEAVY RAINS HAVE CAUSED SOME POWER DISRUPTIONS AND FLOODING IS LIKELY
IN LOW LYING AREAS. AN AREA SOUTHWEST OF MEADE IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS HAS
REPORTED HEAVY RAINS EARLIER IN THE EVENING. FLOODING IS LIKELY IN
THAT AREA ALSO.
 
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE ACROSS WATER-COVERED ROADWAYS. THE
WATER DEPTH AND CURRENT MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.
 
BE  ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE
THE DANGERS OF FLOODS AND FLASH FLOODS.  IF FLASH FLOODING IS
OBSERVED...ACT QUICKLY. DO NOT STAY IN AREAS SUBJECT TO FLOODING
WHEN WATER BEGINS TO RISE.
