THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 245 AM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE NORTHWEST PART OF PENNSYLVANIA
      ERIE

AT 1140 PM EDT WEATHER RADAR SHOWED AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS
OVER CENTRAL LAKE ERIE JUST OFF PRESQUE ISLE...THESE STORMS
ARE MOVING SOUTHEAST AND WILL BE COMING ASHORE FROM THE CITY OF
ERIE EASTWARD ACROSS ERIE COUNTY.  HEAVY DOWNPOURS CAN BE
EXPECTED OVER AREAS WHICH HAVE ALREADY EXPERIENCED FLOODING
FROM EARLIER DOWNPOURS.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS IMMINENT.
MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT ATTEMPT TO
CROSS BRIDGES...DIPS...OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY.
NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM...EVEN A SMALL ONE...ON FOOT.
TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
