THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING NEW YORK
COUNTY...ERIE

AT 1125 AM RADAR SHOWED AN INTENSE THUNDERSTORM MOVING ACROSS THE EASTERN
END OF LAKE ERIE...MOVING RAPIDLY EAST AT 40 MPH TOWARD THE SOUTHERN HALF
OF ]ERIE COUNTY.

BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUENT LIGHTNING..
STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.  LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO CAUSE
DRAINAGE FLOODING.
