THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 900 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES

   IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK
   SOUTHERN CHAUTAUQUA

AT 800 PM BUFFALO WEATHER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF VERY HEAVY
THUNDERSTORMS RUNNING FROM ACROSS LAKE ERIE INTO EXTREME
NORTHWESTERN PAENNSYLVANIA TOWARDS SOUTHWESTERN CHAUTAUQUA
COUNTY. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST ABOUT 40 MPH.

BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUENT LIGHTNING
STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIEL. LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO
CAUSE DRAINAGE FLOODING.
