THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
AND SPECIAL MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 230 AM EDT FOR
PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES

   IN THE STATE OF NEW YORK
      NORTHERN CATTARAUGUS...SOUTHERN ERIE

...THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES THE ADJACENT LAKE WATERS FOR THE
COUNTIES JUST MENTIONED

AT 130 AM EDT WEATHER RADAR OBSERVED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM BETWEEN
ANGOLA AND NORTH COLLINS IN SOUTHERN ERIE COUNTY.
THE THUNDERSTORM IS PART OF AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH
FREQUENT DANGEROUS LIGHTNIGHT AND HEAVY DAOWNPOURS AND
WIND GUSTS OF 40 MPH OR OVER.
THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 40 MPH

BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUENT LIGHTNING
STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL.  LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO
CAUSE DRAINAGE FLOODING.
