THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE SOUTHEAST PART OF COLORADO
      NORTHWEST PROWERS

THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING TOWNS AND CITIES...LAMAR...
WILEY...KORNMAN

AT 420 PM MDT A TORNADO WAS REPORTED TO THE STATE PATROL AT LAMAR
10 MILES SOUTHWEEST OF LAMAR. FUNNEL CLOUDS WERE ALSO REPORTED BY
THE RADIO STATIONS IN LAMAR. THE THUNDERSTORM WHICH SPAWNED THE
TORNADO WAS ABOUT 5 MILES WEST OF LAMAR MOVING NORTHEAST 20 MPH.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE...FIND SHELTER IN A NEARBY REINFORCED
BUILDING.  AS A LAST RESORT...TAKE SHELTER IN A CULVERT...DITCH...
OR LOW SPOT AND COVER YOUR HEAD WITH YOUR HANDS.

DO NOT USE YOUR CAR TO TRY TO OUTRUN A TORNADO.  CARS ARE EASILY
TOSSED AROUND BY TORNADO WINDS.  IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN THE PATH OF
A TORNADO...LEAVE THE CAR AND GO TO A STRONG BUILDING.  IF NO
STRUCTURE IS NEARBY...TAKE SHELTER IN A DITCH OR LOW SPOT.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE
IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE...GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
