THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN OKLAHOMA CITY HAS ISSUED A
FLASH FLOOD WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1030 PM CDT
FOR THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS IN OKLAHOMA...
 
IN CENTRAL OKLAHOMA
 
   ...LINCOLN COUNTY...OKLAHOMA COUNTY
 
AT 730 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FROM
NEAR MUSTANG THROUGH DOWNTOWN OKLAHOMA CITY TO NEAR DAVENPORT. THESE
STORMS WERE PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL AND WERE MOVING VERY LITTLE. SOME
REPORTS OF FLOODING OF UNDERPASSES AND LOW LYING AREAS HAVE BEEN
RECEIVED. COMPUTER ESTIMATES INDICATE AS MUCH AS FOUR INCHES OF RAIN
NEAR CHANDLER AND THREE INCHES IN OKLAHOMA CITY DURING THE PAST TWO
HOURS. BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY RISING WATERS ON ROADWAYS AND ALONG SMALL
STREAMS.
 
DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  THE WATER DEPTH MAY BE TOO GREAT TO ALLOW YOUR CAR TO
CROSS SAFELY.  VEHICLES CAUGHT IN RISING WATER SHOULD BE
ABANDONED QUICKLY.  MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.
