THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN LAKE CHARLES HAS ISSUED A
TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL  315 PM CDT
FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING PARISH...
 
IN SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA
          ...LAFAYETTE
 
AT 215 PM CDT THE LAFAYETTE PARISH CIVIL DEFENSE REPORTED A FUNNEL
CLOUD SIGHTING 8 MILES NORTHWEST OF LAFAYETTE. THE FUNNEL CLOUD WAS
SIGHTED BY THE PUBLIC.
 
THE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING THE FUNNEL CLOUD WAS PART OF A LINE OF
THUNDERSTORMS THAT EXTENDED FROM THE ALEXANDRIA AREA TO VILLE PLATTE
TO JUST WEST OF LAFAYETTE TO THE COAST IN THE VERMILION BAY AREA.
 
THE LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS DRIFTING SLOWLY EAST.

REINFORCED BUILDING.  GET UNDER A PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE
