THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY

   IN THE CENTRAL PART OF ILLINOIS
      MACON

AT 615PM CDT...MACON COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED A FUNNEL CLOUD
NEARING THE GROUND NEAR ELWIN...JUST SOUTH OF DECATUR...MOVING
NORTHNORTHEAST TOWARD THE CITY OF DECATUR. THE STORM SHOULD
PASS OVER THE AST SIDE OF DECATUR BY 700PM.

FUNNEL CLOUDS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO ADVANCE WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE
TO A PLACE OF SAFETY.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...GO TO A BASEMENT SHELTER
IF AVAILABLE...OTHERWISE TO A CENTRAL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
