THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 315 PM MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY

   IN THE EAST CENTRAL PART OF COLORADO
      EASTERN ELBERT

RADAR INDICATES SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS 1 MILE SOUTH OF THE TOWN
OF AGATE AND 1 MILE EAST OF THE TOWN OF SIMLA MOVING TO THE
EAST AT ABOUT 10 MPH.  THESE STORMS ARE PART OF A NORTH-SOUTH
LINE OF STORMS THAT SEEM TO BE DEVELOPING ABOUT 30 MILES EAST
OF THE TOWN OF KIOWA IN ELBERT COUNTY COLORADO.

IF SEVERE WEATHER APPROACHES YOUR AREA..GO TO A STURDY SHELTER AWAY
FROM CREEK BEDS AND OTHER LOW AREAS PRONE TO FLOODING.  REMEMBER...
A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE LARGE HAIL...DAMAGING WINDS OF OVER
60 MPH...DEADLY LIGHTNING...AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD
LOW LYING AREAS.

THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR
NO ADVANCE WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO
A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.

THIS SLOW MOVING STORM MAY CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL STREAMS..UNDER-
PASSES AND OTHER LOW LYING AREAS.
