THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA...ELK

AT 1115 AM FLOODING WAS REPORTED AT AN UNDERPASS ON ROUTE 219
BETWEEN WILCOX AND JOHNSONBURG PA. THE WEST BRANCH OF THE CLARION
RIVER IS BANKFUL NEAR THIS ROAD. FURTHER RAIN WILL BRING THE RIVER
ONTO THE ROADWAY WITHIN A FEW HOURS. BASEMENTS HAS BEEN FLOODED IN
THIS AREA. WATER FROM DITCHES ALONG SIDE ROADS ARE SPILLING OVER
ONTO ROADWAYS ALSO. DRIVE WILL EXTRA CARE IN THIS FLOOD AREA.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR IN PROGRESS.
IF YOU GET ANY INDICATION THAT FLOOD WATERS ARE APPROACHING..MOVE TO
HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS.

 CAMPERS IN ELK AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES SHOULD REMAIN ALERT FOR
RAPID RISES ON SMALL STREAMS AND RIVERS DUE TO CONTINUE HEAVY
RAIN. A FLASH FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THIS AREAS AND
MOST OF WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA AND THE NORTHERN PANHANDLE OF WEST
VIRGINIA UNTIL 10 PM TONIGHT.
