THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE
UNTIL 500 PM CDT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTY IN NORTHEAST
KANSAS... BROWN

AT 403 PM THE BROWN COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTED A TORNADO ON THE GROUND
4 1/2 MILES SOUTH OF HIAWATHA. IT WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.

FIND SHELTER QUICKLY.  BASEMENTS ARE] BEST.  CENTRAL PARTS OF HOMES AND
BUILDINGS ARE ALSO FAIRLY SAFE.  LEAVE MOBILE HOMES...EVEN A DITCH OR
LOW SPOT IS SAFER.
