THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 645 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

CENTRAL MINNESOTA...WRIGHT


AT 600 PM CDT THE PUBLIC REPORTED A FUNNEL CLOUD BETWEEN HOWARD
LAKE AND COKATO..3 MILES SOUTH OF HIGHWAY 12.  THIS FUNNEL CLOUD
WAS 43 MILES WEST OF DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS.

WEATHER RADAR CONFIRMS THE PRESENSE OF A THUNDERSTORM IN THIS
AREA MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MILES PER HOUR.

SOME TOWNS IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO ARE BUFFALO AND RASSETT.

THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM SITUATION.  ACT QUICKLY.  IF YOU ARE IN
THE PATH OF A TORNADO MOVE TO A SHELTER BELOW GROUND IF AVAILABLE.
OTHERWISE..GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR
POSSIBLE.  AVOID WINDOWS.  ABANDON CARS AND MOBILE HOMES FOR A
REINFORCED BUIL DING OR GET INTO A DITCH OR CULVERT.
