000 TTAA00 KMSP 232316 SVRMSP MNC171-053-003-240015- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MINNEAPOLIS MN 616 PM CDT THU JUL 23 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 715 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA... EASTERN WRIGHT...NORTHERN HENNEPIN AND ANOKA AT 610 PM CDT SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE INDICATED BY RADAR FROM 20 MILES NORTH OF BUFFALO TO 20 MILES SOUTH OF BUFFALO IN CENTRAL WRIGHT COUNTY OF CENTRAL MINNESOTA OR ABOUT 40 MILES NORTHWEST OF DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS. ANOTHER SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED IN EXTREME NORTHEAST WRIGHT COUNT 40 MILES NORTHWEST OF DOWNTOWN MINNEAPOLIS. THIS SEVERE THUNDERSTORM COULD BECOME TORNADIC. PERSONS IN ROGERS NOTHWEN AND ANOKA OF THE NORTHERN TWIN CITIES METRO SHOULD BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY. THESE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT 30 MPH. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..DESTRUCTIVE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN.
