000 TTAA00 KSTC 160220 SVRSTC MNC009-093-097-141-145-160305- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ST CLOUD MN 905 PM CDT SAT AUG 15 1987 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1005 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF CENTRAL MINNESOTA...EASTERN STEARNS...EASTERN MORRISON...BENTON... WESTERN SHERBURNE AND MEEKER INCLUDING THE CITIES OF ST. CLOUD...RICE ...CLEAR LAKE...FOLEY AND LITCHFIELD. AT 900 RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THAT EXTENDED SOUTH FROM BRAINERD SOUTHWEST TO WILLMAR. AT 830 PM CDT POWER LINES WERE REPORTED DOWN IN SEVERAL CITIES OF TODD COUNTY IN CENTRAL MINNESOTA. THESE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING EAST AT 30 MPH. REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE STRONG DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES. ALSO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO A'DVANCE WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED. FRASER
