SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL
145 AM CDT SUN MAY 3 1987

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 245 AM FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

SOUTHWEST ALABAMA...NORTHERN WASHINGTON AND CLARKE

THE MOBILE RADAR AT 140 AM SHOWED A SHORT LINE OF INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS
OVER WAYNE COUNTY MISSISSIPPI.  THE THUNDERSTORMS HAD INCREASED THEIR
FORWARD MOTION AND WERE MOVING TOWARD THE EAST AT NEAR 50 MPH.

THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE LIKELY TO PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN THE WARNED
AREA.  LARGE HAIL IS ALSO POSSIBLE.
