THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IS EXTENDING THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING
FOR JACKSON COUNTY MISSISSIPPI UNTIL 200 PM THIS AFTERNOON.

AT 1050 AM CDT RADAR CONTINUED TO SHOW A BAND OF THUNDERSTORMS...
PRODUCING INTENSE RAINFALL...FROM NEAR PASCAGOULA TO JUST NORTH
OF WIGGINS MISSISSIPPI.  RAINFALL RATES OF ONE TO TWO INCHES PER HOUR
HAVE BEEN INDICATED BY RADAR ACROSS JACKSON COUNTY FOR NEARLY SEVEN
HOURS.  THIS WILL VERY LIKELY PRESENT AN UNUSUAL AND LIFE THREATENING
FLASH FLOOD SITUATION ACROSS PORTIONS OF JACKSON COUNTY AS THE HEAVY
RAIN CONTINUESN.

MOST FLASH FLOOD FATALITIES OCCUR WHEN PEOPLE DRIVE OR WALK INTO
WATERS OF UNKNOWN DEPTH...DONT LET THIS UNUSUALLY HEAVY RAIN MAKE
