NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO AND SPECIAL 
MARINE WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE 
FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

SOUTHEAST FLORIDA...CENTRAL AND NORTHEAST DADE
...THIS WARNING ALSO INCLUDES THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS FOR THE
COUNTY JUST MENTIONED

AT 530 PM EDT THERE WAS A PUBLIC REPORT OF A TORNADO ON THE GROUND
IN WEST CENTRAL DADE COUNTY NEAR TAMIAMI TRAIL WEST OF KROME AVE.
SEVERAL FUNNEL CLOUDS WERE ALSO SIGHTED. AST 530 PM EDT MIAMI RADAR
INDICATED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING OVER CENTRAL DADE
COUNTY. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST 10 MILES AN HOUR.
AND SHOULD MOVE INTO NORTHEAST DADE COUNTY WITHIN THE HOUR.
CONDITIONS REMAIN FAVORABLE FOR ADDITIONAL TORNADOES AND FUNNEL
CLOUDS DURING THE NEXT HOUR OR SO.

IF THREATENING A TORNADO OR THREATENING WEATHER IS SIGHTED GO TO
SAFE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO..THE SAFEST PLACE IS UNDER A
PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE IN AN INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.
USE BLANKETS OR PILLOWS TO COVER YOUR BODY.   AVOID WINDOWS.
DEADLY LIGHTNING..HAIL..AND VERY HEAVY RAIN ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN
THIS STORM.
