THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 305 PM  MDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES OF NORTHEAST COLORADO:
 
     CENTRAL AND EASTERN DOUGLAS
 
INCLUDING THE FOLLOWING TOWNS/CITIES:
 
     CASTLE ROCK..FRANKTOWN..LARKSPUR..PARKER..AND SEDALIA
 
THE STORM IS LOCATED 26 MILES SOUTH OF DENVER.
 
AT 230 PM MDT RADAR INDICATED A STRONG...RAPIDLY DEVELOPING THUNDERSTORM
JUST WEST OF CASTLE ROCK.  A TORNADO WAS REPORTED ON THE GROUND ABOUT 2
MILE NORTHEAST OF CASTLE ROCK.  NUMEROUS FUNNEL CLOUD REPORTS HAVE ALSO
BEEN RECEIVED.  THE PARENT THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST AT ABOUT
8 MILES PER HOUR

IN HOMES GO TO THE BASEMENT OR INTO A CLOSET OR BATHROOM.
IN SCHOOLS..HIGH RISES AND HOSPITALS GO TO AN INTERIOR
HALLWAY ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  IF IN MOBILE HOMES OR VEHICLES..
EVACUATE THEM AND GO TO A SUBSTANTIAL SHELTER.  IF NO SHELTER
IS AVAILABLE..LIE FLAT IN THE NEAREST DITCH OR OTHER LOW SPOT.
IN ALL CASES..STAY AWAY FROM WINDOWS..DOORS AND OUTSIDE WALLS.
