THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTY OF

NEW YORK...COLUMBIA

AT 455 PM RADAR SHOWED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM ENTERING COLUMBIA
COUNTY A LITTLE NORTH OF STUYVESANT.  THE STORM WAS MOVING
SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH AND WILL REACH THE CHATHAM AREA ABOUT 530 PM.
THIS STORM CAUSED LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS EARLIER THIS
AFTERNOON.

IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA THREATENED BY THE STORM..GO TO A REINFORCED
SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR DAMAGING WIND...LARGE HAIL...VERY HEAVY
RAIN AND LIGHTNING.
