SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MINNEAPOLIS MN
1001 PM CDT TUE JUN 10 1986

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1045 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES OF

WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN...EASTERN DUNN...EASTERN PEPIN...WESTERN 
 CHIPPEWA AND WESTERN EAU CLAIRE

AT 952 PM CDT..RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
THAT EXTENDED FROM NEAR MENOMONIE IN CENTRAL DUNN COUNTY SOUTH
THROUGH DURAND OF NORTHERN PEPIN COUNTY JUST TO THE WEST OF THE
EAU CLAIRE AREA. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 40
MILES AN HOUR.  AT 948 PM TREES WERE REPORTED DOWN IN DURAND.

SOME CITIES INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING ARE..EAU CLAIRE AND CHIPPEWA
FALLS.

REMEMBER SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE STRONG DAMAGING WINDS..LARGE
HAIL AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRIKES. ALSO SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN
AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE
WARNING..SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A PLACE OF
SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
