THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL  100 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:
 
IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS
          ..SOUTHERN GLASSCOCK..NORTHERN UPTON

AT 9 PM CDT RADAR CONTINUED TO THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN OVER THE
NORTHERN HALF OF UPTON AND THE SOUTHERN HALF OF GLASSCOCK COUNTIES.
 
RADAR HAS ALSO SHOWN THAT DURING THE LAST SEVERAL HOURS..HEAVY RAINS
HAVE OCCURRED OVER THE WARNING AREA.
 
THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SLOWLY NORTHEAST WITH ADDITIONAL RAIN
AND HEAVY RUNOFF EXPECTED FOR THE NEXT TWO TO THREE HOURS.
 
LOW WATER CROSSINGS OF ROADWAYS WILL LIKELY BE FLOODED. MOTORISTS ARE
URGED TO APPROACH FLOODED ROADWAYS WITH CAUTION.
 
A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT.  MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.  DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES, DIPS, OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY.  NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM, EVEN A SMALL ONE,
ON FOOT.  TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.
