THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 200 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

NORTHEAST NEBRASKA...SOUTHERN PLATTE AND SOUTHERN COLFAX

AT 950 PM RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING
ACROSS SOUTHERN PLATTE AND COLFAX COUNTIES OF NORTHEAST NEBRASKA
MOVING VERY SLOWLY TO THE EAST.

MONROE REPORTED 4 INCHES OF RAIN AND 2 FEET OF WATER WAS
REPORTED ACROSS HIGHWAY 81 JUST SOUTH OF PLATTE CENTER IN
SOUTHERN PLATTE COUNTY.

 THESE SLOW MOVING THUNDERSTORMS WERE PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL
AMOUNTS IN A SHORT TIME AND PERSONS IN FLOOD PRONE AREAS SHOULD TAKE
ACTION TO PREVENT LOSS OF LIFE AND PROPERTY.

 A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR MUCH OF
 NORTHEAST NEBRASKA UNTIL 2 AM C!DT MONDAY MORNING.
