159 PM CDT SAT MAY 17 1986

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 500 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

TEXAS...BASTROP...BLANCO...LEE...BURNET...TRAVIS...HAYS AND 
 WILLIAMSON

AT 155 PM CDT A VERY HEAVY RAINS WERE INDICATED BY RADAR IN TRAVIS
AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES.  SEVERAL OF THESE STORMS HAVE PRODUCED
RAINFALLS OF TWO INCHES PER HOUR OR MORE.

REMEMBER THAT DEATHS DURING FLASH FLOODING ARE OFTEN RELATED TO
MOTORISTS DRIVING THROUGH FLOODED LOW WATER CROSSINGS.

IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES..YOU SHOULD GO TO A SAFE PLACE
