THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 950 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

CENTRAL IOWA...NORTHERN JASPER

AT 912 PM...A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED 2 MILES NORTH OF
MITCHELLVILLE...IN EASTERN POLK COUNTY ABOUT 15 MILES EAST-
NORTHEAST OF DOWNTOWN DES MOINES.

THE STORM CONTINUED MOVING EAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR...AND WILL
BE AFFECTING AREAS OF JASPER COUNTY ALONG AND NORTH OF INTERSTATE
80.

IF A TORNADO APPROACHES..TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY.  A BASEMENT..
INTERIOR HALLWAY..O R A ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR IS THE SAFEST PLACE
