THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1005 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

SOUTH CENTRAL IOWA...SOUTHERN RINGGOLD AND SOUTHERN TAYLOR

AT 930 PM CDT THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT IN RINGGOLD REPORTED FUNNEL
CLOUDS IN SOUTHERN RINGGOLD COUNTY.  WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN DES
MOINES INDICATED VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS THAT WERE RAPIDLY
DEVELOPING..AND MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR.

TOWNS AND CITIES THAT ARE MOST VULNERABLE TO THESE STORMS INCLUDE
BEDFORD AND MT. AYR..ATHELSTAN..BLOCKTON..REDDING AND DELPHOS.
THIS AREA IS 60 TO 70 MILES TO THE SOUTHWEST OF DES MOINES.

IF A TORNADO APPROACHES..TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY.  A BASEMENT..
INTERIOR HALLWAY..OR A ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR IS THE SAFEST PLACE4
