SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LA CROSSE WI
650 PM CDT SUN JUL 27 1986

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 745 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF 

WEST WISCONSIN...JACKSON

AT 645 PM CDT WEATHER RADAR INDICATED DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS
EXTENDING FROM NORTH OF EAU CLAIRE WISCONSIN TO JUST WEST OF LA
CROSSE.  THE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE EAST AT 15 MILES PER HOUR.

TREES HAVE BEEN BLOWN DOWN AT BOTH GALESVILLE AND WHITEHALL IN
TREMPEALEAU COUNTY OF WEST CENTRAL WISCONSIN.  THESE STORMS WILL BE
AFFECTING JACKSON COUNTY BY 700 PM CDT AND MOVE SLOWLY EAST THROUGH
THE COUNTY AFFECTING THE ENTIRE COUNTY.

PEOPLE IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR DAMAGING WINDS IN
EXCESS OF 60 MILES PER HOUR..HAIL 3/4 INCH OR MORE IN DIAMETER..
DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW LYING
AREAS.

REMEMBER..SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN ALSO PRODUCE TORNADOES WITHOUT
WARNING.
