TORNADO WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MUSKEGON MI
918 PM EDT WED JUN 11 1986

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1000 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF

NORTHWEST MICHIGAN...NEWAYGO

AT 915PM, A TORNADO WAS INDICTATED BY RADAR AND REPORTED ON
THE GROUND JUST EAST OF HESPERIA IN WEST CENTRAL NEWAYGO
COUNTY IN NORTHWEST LOWER MICHIGAN.  THIS TORNADO WAS MOVING
TOWARD THE NORTH AT 50 MILES AN HOUR.  ANOTHER TORNADO WAS
INDICATED OVER SOUTH NEWAYGO COUNTY ABOUT 30 MILES NORTHEAST
OF MUSKEGON MICHIGAN MOVING NORTH AT 50 MILES AN HOUR. THERE
WERE THREE SEPARATE CONFIRMED REPORTS OF TORNADOES WITH THIS
STORM.

 THIS IS A DANGEROUS TORNADO. TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY !

 IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO..GO TO A BASEMENT SHELTER
 IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE GO TO A CENTRAL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE
 LOWEST FLOOR. DO NOT STAY IN A CAR OR MOBILE HOME..FIND A
 REINFORCED SHELTER OR LIE FLAT IN A DITCH OR RAVINE.
